Jesus had no death to die,
      He'd never lived in sin;
He died the death that you and I
      Through faith might enter in.

Jesus had no debt to pay;
      He paid the price for me,
And washed my every sin away;
      Thank God He set me free.

Blessed Lord, I'll live for Thee,
      And reign with Thee above;
You did not have to die for me –
      You did it all through love.
       "But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon Him;
and with His stripes we are healed." Isaiah. 53:5

       "Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed." I Peter 2:24

       "Who gave Himself for us, that
He might redeem us from all iniquity,
and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." Titus 2:14
