When the Saviour comes again to take us yonder,
To that land where we shall live forever more;
When He comes with trumpet sound of joy and splendor
We'll be changed. And through the sky we'll rise and soar,
To the bosom of the Father who has loved us;
Who has sought us from the depths of sin and shame;
Who has bought us with the blood of His Begotten;
And has called us to be heirs of His Great Name.
In a moment! Quicker than the eye can twinkle,
He'll return exactly as He went away;
With His hands of blessing stretched toward His disciples,
With a shout of victory we'll hear Him say,
"In my Father's house for you are many mansions;
At my side there's perfect peace forever more;"
Come, Lord Jesus; come to take us home to Glory,
Where we'll praise that Name we honor and adore.
