    There are many "EXCEPTS" recorded in the Holy Scriptures.
This is the first in a series of five.
 
      THE NEW BIRTH

"EXCEPT a man be born again

he cannot see the kingdom of God"
                              John 3:3
     These were the words of Jesus Christ to Nicodemus who had just said, "Thou art a teacher come from God." Of course, Jesus Christ was the Son of God, and He did not come primarily to teach,
- He came to die -
however He was certainly the greatest teacher that ever lived.
   John 3:3 was about the greatest thing He ever taught, that a person had to experience the new birth, being born again, in order to get to heaven. There are many today who try to tell us that we can get there by means of good lives and wonderful deeds, but when those who try that method get to the end of the way, they realize that Jesus was right when He said, "YE MUST be born again."
   That is the final statement - we must be born into the kingdom in order to reign with the King. If we are not born into the kingdom we are aliens and outcasts, children of the devil and doomed for perdition. Please don't try to live the new life until you have Him who is Life. Don't try to be a Christian until first of all you take Christ who makes you a Christian.
