"And the Philistine said to David, come to me,

and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air,
and to the beasts of the field.
Then said David to the Philistine,

Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield:
but
I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts,
the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
"

DAVID could have certainly said with Paul, "None of these things move me." From the human standpoint David did not have one chance of winning the battle over Goliath the giant. However, David was not wanting to win the battle from the human standpoint, and he was not wanting to win the battle for the exaltation of man. He was only a servant willing to be used in God's battle to win God's victory. David had known what it was to kill a lion and a bear in the strength of the Lord, and he knew that God's strength was able and sufficient to help him kill this giant. God was able to win the victory through David's fighting, because He had already won the victory in David's heart.

"My son, give me thine heart," (Proverbs 23:26)
